I do not hesitate to send a small donation each time. The reason I do a monetary donation is because I do not have the life schedule that allows me to donate my time. I would love to travel to areas in need of nursing intervention. Sometimes, I try to think of skills that I could contribute to a disaster situation if I were not a nurse. According to the Red Cross, one does not have to possess a special skill set to volunteer with their organization. There is so much each of us could do (Passing out water, blankets, food, clothes).Class, when “regular nurses” like us participate in a disaster situation, are we then in the role of community health nurses? Is there a “community health nurse” in each of us?Please include 1 or 2 references.Thank you.Health ScienceScienceNursing NRS 428
